Online experience
AIxVR 2025 is held in person. However, the interactions will combine in-person and remote participation. This approach also allows a minority of remote participants to attend part of the program. Here’s what you need to know.
Primary Platform: Discord
Discord is the main online platform for the conference. You will receive an email with a link to join as the event approaches. Please ensure you have a Discord account and that the latest version has been installed.
Upon joining, you will enter a welcome channel where you must provide your full name to confirm your registration. You can also introduce yourself with a brief overview, which is optional. A student volunteer (SV) will grant you access to all conference channels.
Each text channel corresponds to a specific track and will serve as a space for in-person and remote participants to engage in discussions.
Technical sessions and live streams
Keynotes and technical sessions live streams will be hosted on Discord for remote participants. A video channel will be available for you to join during these sessions. Other tracks will have content available on Discord but won’t be livestreamed. Global announcements for upcoming livestreams will be posted in the relevant text channels.
Q&A and support
During sessions, remote participants can ask questions via Discord. A student volunteer will monitor Discord to ensure the session chair balances both online and in-person questions. In-person participants can also use Discord for questions if they prefer.
A student volunteer will be available on Discord to assist with any issues. There is also a dedicated helpdesk channel for specific questions.
